Application

  • WebRTC
    • Added a TURN relay so WebRTC live streams only need UDP port 3478 instead of a large range of UDP ports
    • Fixed issue where WebRTC live streams did not play for some cameras depending on the camera's audio codec, bit rate, or sample rate settings
    • Fixed issue where cameras with audio disabled did not show video over WebRTC
  • Observe views
    • Fixed issue where a camera could not be removed from a view
  • SSO
    • Updated SSO login to use the HTTP-Redirect binding when the identity provider supports it
    • Fixed issue where SSO login did not complete with identity providers that only support the HTTP-POST binding
  • Fixed issue in Admin > VALT Cue where a Cue Session's configuration did not show all of the evaluation template's field types
  • Improved handling of transcription service credentials

Technical

  • Added a TURN relay server (valt_coturn) Docker container
    • WebRTC live streams now connect through the TURN relay on UDP port 3478
    • Firewalls between viewers and VALT must allow inbound UDP port 3478 to the Application Server and each Media Server
    • The UDP port range 6750-15000 is no longer used for WebRTC
    • When upgrading a Media Server, the installer prompts for the TURN shared secret configured on the Application Server
  • Updated packages and frameworks
    • Wowza Docker Image: Wowza Streaming Engine 4.12.0
