Required Information

Calendar Integration is compatible with VALT 6.5.
In order to configure and setup Calendar Integration with VALT, the following information needs to be setup:
- Your environment must utilize Microsoft AD/Azure (M365 or Microsoft 365).
- You must have a DNS entry in place mapping the VALT server IP to an FQDN
- Rooms
- Each VALT Room must be associated with the email address of a Microsoft 365 Resource Room mailbox.
- This allows the room to receive and manage calendar bookings
- Each VALT Room must be associated with the email address of a Microsoft 365 Resource Room mailbox.
- Users
- Each VALT User must be associated with an email address that has an active Microsoft 365 mail license.
- This allows the user to create, view, and manage calendar events
- Each VALT User must be associated with an email address that has an active Microsoft 365 mail license.
- All accounts that are going to be used with calendars require a minimum of a Microsoft 365 Business Basic License
Important Things to Know
- With Calendar Integration enabled, when a schedule is created in VALT, it will create a calendar block on the M365 Resource Room
- Enabling "Send email schedule notifications" will only send out email invites to users the schedule is shared with
- Individual users can turn off the email schedule notifications under their individual user settings if they wish to not receive them
